If you are using a HTC and you're experiencing issues such as missing data, or nothing being recorded at all, turning off battery optimization for Slopes should get things working as expected.

• Open the Phone Settings app
• Go to Power
• Tap on Battery Optimization
• Tap on Not Optimized → All Apps to see the full list of apps
• Tap on Slopes → Don't Optimize → Done
