OnePlus
If you are using a OnePlus device and you're experiencing issues such as missing data, or nothing being recorded at all, running through the below troubleshooting steps should get things working as expected.
Some OnePlus users have reported to us that their settings get reset back to the default when their device receives a firmware update, making it necessary to do all this again.
Turn Off Battery Optimization
- Go to System Settings
- Tap on Battery → Battery Optimization
- Switch to All Apps
- Tap on Slopes → Don't Optimize
It's also a good idea to turn off deep optimization/adaptive battery:
- Go to System Settings
- Tap on Battery → Battery Optimization
- Tap on the three dots → Advanced Optimization
- Disable Deep Optimization/Adaptive Battery
We have been made aware that there is an open bug report filed with OnePlus regarding an app's battery optimization setting automatically being reverted, so you may need to check this every once in a while.
Disable App Auto-Launch
On some OnePlus phones, app auto-launch can stop apps from running in the background. Here's how to disable it for Slopes:
- Go to System Settings
- Tap on App Management
- Tap on Auto-Launch Apps
- Find Slopes and toggle it off
Lock Slopes in Recent Apps
- Start using Slopes
- Swipe up and hold to open recent apps (the app switcher)
- Long press anywhere in the window and tap the Lock button in the top right hand corner
- Once locked, Slopes will have the closed padlock icon
Recent App Clearing Behavior
Usually swiping an app away keeps it running in the background, but on OnePlus, depending on your settings, this can terminate the app entirely. You can set Recent App Management to "Normal Clear" to avoid this happening.
- Go to System Settings
- Go to Advanced
- Tap on Recent App Management
- Select Normal Clear
