Can I Get Activity Ring Credit?
Slopes will add workouts and calorie burn estimates automatically at the end of the day to your iPhone.
With iOS 10 and watchOS 3, released in September 2016, Apple now automatically syncs workouts from the iPhone to the Watch in order to give you activity ring credit. Even if you don't have your Watch on while skiing or boarding, just slap your Watch on before the end of the day and you'll see ring credit within a few minutes.
A few troubleshooting tips:
- Make sure you've updated your iPhone to iOS 10+ and your Watch to watchOS 3+ to get credit
- If you had your phone locked, you'll need to unlock it before the end of the day after you save. Your health store is locked down while your phone is locked so the workout won't go through until you unlock.
- Syncing the workout from Health -> Activities is automatically done by Apple. They only sync, though, for data about today.
- I've had one or two users report Activity.app didn't give them credit until they opened either Health.app or Slopes on their phone.
